Why have scientists been able to create some high-numbered elements in the lab, but not others?

Posted under Element 115

For instance, the periodic table displays the even numbered elements from 112 to 118, but not the odds. Why have elements 113, 115, and 117 eluded us?

As you have no other answers….

There are stable isotopes and unstable ones. Just depends on the stability of the protons and neutrons together, the associated electronic levels etc.

I have no idea why only even ones are known

Canon Rock (mattrach) cover

Posted under Neo-classic rock

How do i prove to my friends that classic rock is better music than any music made today?

Posted under classic rock

i got into an argument with my friend because i said that it think classic rock is the only real music…i like some new music but i don’t think it’s that hard to write any of the songs today and i think half of the new rock and rap is crap…i like some new songs but i think classic rock was a time when you needed talent to get somewhere…i need arguments y classic rock is better.

remind the friend of: american idol, britney spears, 50 cent, nsync, ashlee simpson, jessica simpson, ad nauseum.

personally, I love bob dylan.

What are the names of elements 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118?

Posted under Element 115

Elements 113 to 118 have not been found or synthetically prepared yet. That's why they have the name (ununtrium, ununquadium, ununpentium,…). Those names come from latin words, prefix unun- stands for unknown (or not named yet),suffixes such as -trium, quadium, pentium,… refer to 3,4,5,… or main group 3,4,5,…(3A,4A,5A,…) in the periodic table.
Some reports say elements 113 and 115 were made by some Russian scientists but they are not very stable and exist only in a split of second..

What's the difference between Classic Hard Rock and Classic Rock.?

Posted under classic rock

I always seem to see people lop them all together and I'm confused. Genres always seem to overlap or intertwine. :'(. it's so confusing. Is Classic Hard Rock apart of classic rock like Classic Hard Rock is but one of many components of Classic Rock? Are they the same thing?

Classic Rock - The Beatles, The Who
Classic Hard Rock - The Scorpions, Deep Purple

(Classic Rock was more mainstream as opposed to Hard Rock at the time, which was still popular, nonetheless. Classic Rock has a more pop sound to it as opposed to the metal influencing hard rock.)
